Tacker’s Shake Shack

Living in Marion, my wife and I are able to visit Memphis and eat some of the best food on the planet!  But, there are sometimes I just want to stay close to home...enter my favorite restaurant in Marion, Arkansas. Tacker’s Shake Shack!

The Shake Shack, as I call it, is a local diner with a great atmosphere that screams small town eatery. The shack serves up some of the best burgers, country fried steak, catfish and breakfast this side of the Mississippi. Their burger menu is probably my favorite!

Meat Maniac

All of the burgers are made with the Certified Angus Beef brand, and every burger I have tried has been amazing. So, let me share my thoughts on my favorite burgers:

Meat Maniac Burger: This is the ultimate meat burger! Packed with beef, bacon, ham, turkey, pepperoni, a hot dog and cheese - this is my favorite burger. I kind of feel like they should call this the widow maker due to all the red meat, minus the turkey, and no veggies to provide any healthy aspect to the burger.  

Breakfast Burger: I just love a good burger with egg on it, and this one has it plus bacon, shredded hash browns and cheddar cheese. This is actually my “go to” burger at the shack, it has a great flavor and I honestly love breakfast food!

Italian Stallion

Italian Stallion Burger: This one is Tory’s favorite! I think the mozzarella sticks and provolone cheese are the main reason she likes this burger so much. The marinara sauce, basil and oregano probably don’t hurt either. It’s a great burger and my wife’s favorite is certainly worth sharing on the blog!

Homestyle Burger: A hamburger topped with mashed potatoes, brown gravy and grilled onions. Yea, this thing is best enjoyed with a fork, emphasis on the enjoyed. This is a beast of a burger, and I highly recommend this one!
    

Breakfast Burger

There are several burgers worth mentioning like the Elvis Burger, Burnin’ Love Burger, John Wayne Burger, Mac ‘n Cheese Burger, Western Burger and the Taco Burger.  They are all amazing burgers that I believe you should try when you visit the shack.  By the way, order the tots, don’t waste time with French fries...the TOTS are the deal.

Country fried steaks are an excellent dinner selection, and if country fried steak isn’t your thing, try the catfish! These two southern plates are excellent meals if the burger and tots aren’t your speed. 

DESSERT TIME!

This is where it gets REAL! I’m sure you’ve heard of fried Oreos, but have you ever heard of fried Nutter Butters? YES, I said it! They are amazing especially with the ice cream! Of course they have excellent shakes, shivers (DQ Blizzard), fried pies and dipped cones! Always check the dessert case when you walk in to order...pies, cheesecakes and many other treats are available that aren’t on the menu! Sometimes you have to have dessert first so you don’t miss out on a banana pudding...just sayin’.
